Plumas County Inmate Search Information

Please be advised that when contacting the Plumas County Correctional Facility Officers are limited on what information they are allowed to release. For safety purposes court dates and release information will not be given out. Officers can, and will, only release an inmates charges and bail amounts. For court information, contact the Clerks Officer at the Plumas Superior Court, (530) 283-6232. Jail staff is also limited on what they can receive at their facility. Only medications and seeing glasses will be accepted over the counter, all other items will be denied into the facility. 

Alternatively, you can locate a California inmate online through the website, which provides detailed information about bookings and correctional incarceration across the country.

To use the Vinelink system, you will need to register with the website. You can also sign up at the site to receive notification regarding an inmate's release from custody.

  1.  A current, valid form of identification is required to enter the Correctional Facility. If you do not have a valid ID you will be asked to leave the premises.

  2. If you have recently been released from the Plumas County Correctional Facility, you will be denied entry to visitation for a period of 30 days.

  3. Leave all items, excluding ID, in your vehicle. Failure to do so may result in your removal from the facility. This is to include all cellular and recording devices. If paperwork needs to be signed by the inmate during the visitation, please notify a correctional officer beforehand.

  4. Dress appropriately for all visitation visits. Those not appropriately dressed will not be allowed to visit until suitable attire can be acquired. Exposing of breasts or genitalia will result in immediate removal from the facility and a ban from visitation. 

  5. All minors wishing to visit must have a parent or legal guardian for supervision.

  6. Instructions on how to perform a video visitation can be found under the KIOSK tab from the main Jail menu.
