Placer County Jail Visitation
The Placer County Correctional Center offers both onsite and remote visitation opportunities. At the jail, inmates are allowed two 30-minute visits per week. A maximum of three visitors at a time are allowed, including children.
To determine visiting hours for your friend or loved one, check the County website “In Custody Report,” which may provide specifics. It is also recommended to call the jail at (530) 745-8500 to verify exact days/times for individual inmate visitation.
You should be checked in at the Auburn Visitation Center 35 to 45 minutes ahead of your planned visit. Adult visitors can fill out an online pre-registration form to expedite the check-in process for on-site jail visits.
Video visits can also take place from home using your own computer or Android device. These 30-minute visits cost $9.99. Remote visits should be scheduled 8-12 hours in advance at icsolutions.com. These visits occur only when inmates are in their “dayroom” environment, so you must confer with your friend/loved before scheduling.
Placer County has a list of visitation rules, as follows:
You will need to present valid, government-issued, photo identification.
Visitors under age 18 can visit in the company of a responsible adult .
Children must be closely supervised and may not be left unattended on the premises.
Cell phones, laptops, tablets, etc. are not allowed in the visiting area.
Disruptive behavior or offensive language will end the visit.
You may not visit an inmate if you have been incarcerated in a California prison or at the Placer County Jail within the past 60 days. You cannot visit if have been convicted of a felony or have a restraining order involving the current inmate.
You must be prepared to submit to a search of your person and property on the grounds of the facility.
